Book your removal company
As soon as you know your moving date, book your removal company. Take into consideration whether you want a full removal service, where a company will pack and wrap your items for you, or if you’re going to do the packing yourself and just require removal and transportation of your items.
Start packing up your least used rooms first
If you have a spare room or garage then start by packing up these rooms first, allow yourself time to have a thorough sort out and use this time to get rid of any unwanted or unused items. This will save you time in the long run as decluttering will mean less moving and unpacking at your new home.
Pack with care
If you are packing fragile items make sure you use plenty of protective wrapping and store these items in strong boxes. It is advisable to write fragile on the box and use arrows to indicate the right way up, as this will prevent it from getting upturned or stacked under much heavier boxes.
